Bears Welcomes Kennesaw State in Mid-Week Battle

MACON, Ga. – Mercer (2-5) will close out its five-game home stand by hosting Kennesaw State on Tuesday, March 19 at 5 p.m. at Five Star Stadium.

SERIES HISTORY
The Bears have won two of the three all-time meetings between the two programs. Mercer and Kennesaw State most recently faced off two seasons ago, when Mercer walked away with an 18-9 victory.

Iseabal Cryne was named the Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Month for February after leading the league in saves (33), save percentage (.402) and saves per game (11.00). The sophomore also won last week's SoCon Defensive Player of the Week award after earning her first win of the year over St. Bonaventure.
Mercer leads the SoCon in clearing percentage (.816) and shots per game (28.86) and ranks second in caused turnovers per game (11.00), ground balls per game (20.43) and save percentage (.450).
Audrey Robertson leads the league in caused turnovers per game (2.57). Robertson ranks third averaging 3.00 ground balls per game.
Hailey Rhatigan leads the Bears in goals per game (2.43) and ranks third in the conference. Rhatigan leads the SoCon in shots per game (7.00).
Eva Thorn leads the conference in free position goals per game (0.86) and free position percentage (0.857).
Iseabal Cryne ranks second in the conference in goals-against average (13.02), save percentage (.431), saves per game (9.43) and saves (66).

SCOUTING KENNESAW STATE
The Owls enter Tuesday's contest at 2-5 overall, having also defeated St. Bonaventure and Winthrop, who the Bears will face later this season. Kennesaw State is led by Siena Gore, who has totaled 30 goals, 32 draw controls and seven caused turnovers for the season. Alex Bunn defends the pipes for the Owls, averaging a .429 save percentage after totaling 81 saves.
