Mercer Rounds Out Nonconference Slate this Weekend

Bears will welcome Hatters Thursday, Dolphins Saturday
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer women's lacrosse team will close out its nonconference schedule this weekend by hosting Stetson on Thursday, April 18 at 4 p.m. before taking on Jacksonville on Saturday, April 20 at noon.

Both matches will be played at Five Star Stadium and have broadcasts on the SoCon Digital Network.

SERIES HISTORY
Mercer has won all four meetings with Stetson, including a 12-11 victory in Deland, Fla., last season. On the flip side, Mercer is seeking its first-ever win against Jacksonville; the Bears trail 4-0 in that series. The Bears dropped a 19-7 match to the Dolphins last season.

NOTABLES
Stetson heads into Thursday with a 4-9 overall record. The Hatters have defeated SoCon foes, Wofford and Delaware State while falling to Furman 15-13 earlier this season. Riley Reagan and Shelby Lehmann lead the Hatters with 53 (Reagan) and 51 (Lehmann) points. Reagan also leads the team in the circle, garnering 43 draw controls this season. Starting goalie, Kiera McCarthy is averaging a .387 save percentage and has recorded 109 saves for Stetson this season.

Jacksonville will travel to take on Kennesaw State on Thursday before challenging the Bears on Saturday. The 11-3 Dolphins have only fallen to Oregon (15-12), #24 Southern California (15-10) and #17 Florida (19-13). Alyssa Arnold leads the offense scoring 26 goals for the season and registering 17 assists. Dayna Martinetto backs the defense with her 16 caused turnovers and 41 ground balls earned for the season. Martinetto is also averaging a .441 save percentage, including 94 saves for the season.
