Bears’ SoCon Semifinal Match Suspended Until Saturday

UPDATE (9:45 a.m., Saturday, April 20): SoCon officials have delayed the resumption of Mercer's SoCon Championship semifinal match against Furman on Saturday morning. Play was expected to resume at 10 a.m., but rainfall has forced another delay. Further updates will be provided via SoConSports.com and MercerBears.com.

MACON, Ga. – Mercer's Southern Conference Men's Tennis Championship semifinal match against Furman was suspended until Saturday due to inclement weather in the Middle Georgia area on Friday.

After multiple delays throughout Friday, Mercer and Furman started their semifinal match at approximately 7:45 p.m., only to have play halted around 8:15 p.m. Play will resume at 10 a.m. Saturday at the John Drew Smith Tennis Center in Macon.

The winner of No. 6 Mercer and No. 3 Wofford will advance to the men's title match at 3 p.m. Saturday.
