Mercer Inks Sponsorship with Ingles Markets

Supermarket chain to become official tailgate sponsor
MACON, Ga. – Mercer Athletics announced a partnership with supermarket chain Ingles Markets Tuesday, bringing the company on as the "Official Partner of Mercer Athletics Tailgates".

"We're excited to continue and expand upon our partnership with Ingles as the Official Partner of Mercer Tailgates," Mercer Associate Athletics Director for External Operations Daniel Tate said. "With this partnership, fans will be encouraged to visit their local Ingles for all tailgating needs; both home and away."

The market, which has seven locations within 45 miles of Mercer's campus, will provide gift cards to lucky fans during football home games this season. Ingles will also be the presenting partner of the Ford Concert Series performances on Homecoming Weekend (Nov. 9) and the Mercer Pre-Game Pep Rally before the Southern Conference Basketball Tournament in Asheville, N.C. Mercer football will open its home schedule by hosting Austin Peay for "478 Day" at Five Star Stadium on September 14. The Bears' six-game home slate will feature unique gameday experiences including the aforementioned Ford Concert Series, the Macon Beer Company Bear Garden and Toby Town.
