Bears set to play The Citadel and Wofford

MACON, Ga. – The Bears squad will head to South Carolina to go head to head with The Citadel on Friday at 6 p.m. Then they will head to Wofford to battle against the Terriers Saturday at 6 p.m.

SERIES HISTORY
The Bears and Bulldogs have met 12 times in program history with Mercer leading the series 11-1. The last meeting was last November where the Bears taking the match 3-2. Mercer has gone head-to-head with Wofford 19 times. The Bears added to their 10-9 series lead last season taking the match in straight sets.

NOTABLES

Junior Malia Randolph was named SoCon setter of the week with 244 assists on the season; leading the team and ranking tenth in the SoCon.
Jaida Howell continues to lead the team and the SoCon in hitting percentage with a .390%.
Annie Karle has recorded 139 kills and 124 digs, leading the team in both categories.
Roberta Todd recorded 17 kills against Little Rock, her highest of the season and second highest of her career.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
The Citadel is coming off a 1-3 loss against North Carolina Central on Tuesday and moves their record to 4-7. Dave Zelenock enters his second season leading the Bulldogs after spending five years as the head coach of Tennessee Tech. The Bulldogs welcome back six starters including senior Caricia Rodriguez who led the team in digs with 332.

SCOUTING THE TERRIERS
Wofford is led by head coach Lynze Roos who enters her fifth season with the Terriers. They ended the 2018 season losing to Mercer in the Southern Conference Tournament and went 14-16 overall, 7-9 in the conference. They welcome back their leading killer, senior Catie Cronister, who recorded 382 in the 2018 season.
