Mercer will face Georgia State for the second time in 2020

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's soccer team returns to action with its first road match of the year at Georgia State on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

SERIES HISTORY | LAST MEETING
Mercer trails the all-time series against Georgia State, 18-37-3, including a 4-21-2 mark in road matches. Mercer's last road win against Georgia State came on Sept. 3, 2015. This will be the second meeting between the Bears and Panthers in 2020 as Georgia State earned a 2-1 victory at Betts Field in the season opener on Sept. 18.

NOTABLES

Mercer is looking to stop a four-match losing skid against the Panthers.
This will be the third contest against a team from the Sun Belt for the Bears in 2020.
Trevor Martineau leads the Bears with four points and two goals.
Kevin Kim has dished out the most assists on the team with two.
Dylan Gaither has collected three points on a goal and an assist this year.
JR DeRose posted his 13th career shutout last time out against Georgia Southern in the team's first victory of the year.
DeRose boasts a 1.00 goals-against average and a .750 save percentage.

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS

The Panthers are off to their best start since 2003 at 4-0-0.
Georgia State has outscored its opponents 11-2 on the season.
Aris Briggs leads the team in points (9) and assists (3) while being tied for the team lead in goals (3).
Matthew Fearnley is tied with Briggs for the lead in goals with three.
The Panthers have split time between two keepers this season, Paul Tyson and Gunther Rankenburg.
Tyson has allowed two goals and made 13 saves, while Rankenburg has yet to allow a goal and has made three saves.
