Morin’s Career Game Helps Bears Beat Campbell

Mercer outscored Campbell 14-9
BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Mercer women's lacrosse beat the Campbell Fighting Camels 14-9 in Sunday afternoon's game. Lily Morin and Hailey Rhatigan each scored four goals in the game.
Campbell was quick to get on the board with a goal 45 seconds into the game, followed by another 8:45 later. The Bears responded with two back-to-back goals from Lily Morin and Catie Snee 27 seconds apart. Mercer and Campbell would trade goals one more time before ending the half tied, 4-4.
The Black and Orange opened the second half on a 5-0 run with goals from Rhatigan (2), Morin (1), Snee (1), and Shannon Urey (1). Campbell would respond with three goals to make the score 9-7. Rhatigan would end the Camels run with an unassisted goal, followed by a goal from Lily Morin, assisted by Eva Thorn. The next goal would not be scored until 5:14 later when Morin would score her fourth goal of the game. Mercer would score two more goals to cap off their win, one from Schaeffer and one from Thorn.

- Goalie Iseabal Cryne recorded 14 saves in the Campbell game and five in the Gardner-Webb game, bringing her weekend total to 19.
- Lily Morin's four goals in the game against Campbell is the most she has scored in a single game in her career.
