Â

Â
The Bulldogs had no answer for the Bears, and Mercer's lead increased to as many as 40 points in the second half, which would ultimately be the margin of victory as Mercer came away with a 106-66 win.
QUOTABLES
Coach Greg Gary
THERE'S A LOT OF THINGS WE COULD TALK ABOUT. GIVE US YOUR OVERALL OPINION ON THE GAME.
"I'm just happy with how our guys were locked in and how they shot the ball. It always helps when you shoot the ball well. We shared the basketball too. The first time we played Samford, I told the team we had to move the ball. Samford plays some different defenses. I thought we did a great job sharing the basketball."
SPEAKING OF SHARING THE BASKETBALL, WE'VE NEVER HAD A MERCER TEAM WITH 30 ASSISTS IN A GAME.
"I've never been associated with a team that had 30 assists either. That's a lot."
YOU'VE BEEN WANTING A 2:1 RATIO. WE BLEW THAT OFF THE CHARTS. WE HAD A 4:1 ASSIST TO TURNOVER RATIO, 30 ASSISTS COMPARED TO 7 TURNOVERS.
"Our guys did a great job of sharing the basketball and finding the open man. We did a tremendous job of moving (on offense) and shooting shots in rhythm. We have to continue to do that."
