Men’s Tennis Announces Signing of Danny Flynn

Wales native to join the Bears for 2020-21 season
MACON, Ga. – Head men's tennis coach Eric Hayes announced the addition of Danny Flynn, a Welsh Men's Open and U18 National Champion, for the 2020-21 season.
Flynn comes to Mercer with several titles on his resume. In addition to winning the Welsh Men's Open and U18 National Championship, he claimed a doubles championship and also won the Scottish Open U18 championship.
He is ranked in the Top 20 U18 players in Great Britain along with being the No. 1 player in Wales.
The Scottish Open is one of the largest events held in the United Kingdom, and Flynn had to hold off several talented players to reach the championship match. In the Scottish Open finale, he defeated Billy Blaydes to claim the trophy.
Flynn also won the national singles U18 Sutton championship and was a national singles U18 Bolton finalist.
In 2018, Flynn won the Scottish Open U16 singles and doubles championships.
In addition to the individual accolades, Flynn was given the honor of representing Wales internationally at the Tri-Nations event.
