MACON, Ga. – Mercer women's lacrosse welcomes the Vermont Catamounts to Five Star Stadium for a Sunday afternoon matchup. The game is set for 1 p.m.

ABOUT THE BEARS
Hailey Rhatigan's 20 goals this season puts her 16 goals away from the century mark in her career. She would become the youngest player in Mercer history to hit the milestone. Rhatigan also ranks eighth in goals per game in her career in D-I Lacrosse, and first in the SoCon on the season. Mercer ranks first in all statistical categories except for six; fouls per game (4th), free position percentage (3rd), clearing percentage (2nd), turnovers per game (5th), shot percentage (3rd), and yellow cards (2nd). Mercer's overtime win was one of twelve games that have went into extra periods this season. Virginia leads all teams with the most overtimes with two on the season. Senior Katie Martin ranks top 20 in the nation and first in the conference in caused turnovers per game. She has registered an average of 2.00 per game. Hailey Rhatigan and Eva Thorn rank first and second in shots per game and shots on goal per game. Rhatigan has averaged 6.67 shots and 5.17 shots on goal. Thorn has averaged 6.33 shots and 4.67 shots on goal.

SCOUTING VERMONT
Vermont enters the contest with a 3-3 record on the season. They are currently on a two game win streak with wins against Sacred Heart and Siena. Freshman Ava Vasile leads the team with 17 goals on the season. MacKenzie Bolt follows with 13 goals. Vasile also leads the team with 30 draw controls. Sophie McLaughlin leads the conference with a 10.17 goals against average. The Catamounts finished the 2019 season with an 8-7 overall record, 2-5 in the conference. Vermont is led by head coach Sarah Dalton. She enters her fourth season at the helm with the Catamounts. In her tenure, she has registered an overall record of 18-36. Â
