
Mercer Men’s Tennis Adds a Pair for 2020-21 Season

Sam MacLeod and Andrew Branicki are set to join the Bears
MACON, Ga. – Head men's tennis coach Eric Hayes has announced the signing of Samuel MacLeod and Andrew Branicki to a National Letters of Intent. MacLeod comes to the Bears from Wallace High School in Scotland, while Branicki comes to Mercer from Johnson Ferry Christian Academy.
The Glasgow, Scotland native was ranked as high as the top player in Scotland and was ranked as high as number five in England as a junior player.
During his time as a prep player in Scotland, MacLeod won the Scottish Indoor Championship and was a doubles finalist in the 18-and-under Scottish Championships. He has represented Scotland at the Tri-Nations Championships on three separate occasions.
Branicki a Marietta, Georgia native, is a four star recruit that has been ranked in the top 100 nationally in singles. In doubles, he has been ranked in the top 25 nationally with a top five ranking in the south.
He is one of only 32 players nationally that was selected for the USTA Team Tennis. He won the gold and bronze balls in USTA National Double Championships.
MacLeod and Branicki join Samuel Barrow and Danny Flynn to the 2020-21 men's tennis recruiting class.
