Saturday Senior Day

MACON, Ga. – Following four road contests and another washed away by inclement weather, the Bears will return home for senior day to host the VMI Keydets in a SoCon clash. The match will be streamed on ESPN+, and the link is attached below.

UPADATE: The venue has changed to Five Star Stadium, home to the Mercer football and lacrosse squads.

SERIES HISTORY | LAST MEETING
Mercer holds a convincing 14-0 record in the series over VMI. The Bears are 7-0 in both Macon and Lexington, Virginia, and 11-0 when it has been a SoCon match. Last time out, MU used three unanswered goals for the 3-1 comeback win over the Keydets at VMI's Patchin Field.

NOTABLES
• Dylan Gaither, a junior forward, is pacing the Mercer attack with four goals and an assist
• Three Bears – George Iakovidis, Trevor McMullen and Brant Zulauf – have spent time between the posts this season, both McMullen and Zulauf have a pair of clean sheets

VMI is on a two-match skid in conference play, falling to UNCG and Belmont by a combined 12-0 margin. Sandwiched between their conference clashes, VMI defeated Eastern Mennonite with a 3-1 decision. Nathan Lam, a junior midfielder, is leading the Keydets with three goals.
