ABOUT THE BEARS
Mercer is coming off an 11-13 loss at High Point on February 14. Hailey Rhatigan moved up in the Mercer record books with her two goals. She now sits tied for fifth for career goals, 11 away from becoming the fifth player to hit the 100-goal milestone. Her two goals, which came from free-position shots, also puts her seven away from becoming the first player to record 30 free-position goals. Goalie Iseabal Cryne matched her career high 15 saves on 39 shots faced against High Point. She had previously set it against Vermont last season. Freshman Maddi Koury scored her first collegiate goal with 1:27 left in the game. She became the 12th freshman to score in her first collegiate game. Two other Bears joined Rhatigan with multi-goals at High Point. Lily Morin and Cailey Thornburg each scored two goals.

SCOUTING WINTHROP
Winthrop is coming off a heartbreaking 9-12 loss against Coastal Carolina on Saturday. The Eagles had three players register a multi-goal game. Rachel Miller had two caused turnovers in the game. Kelsey Johnson stopped 11 balls between the pipes on 30 shots faced. Winthrop welcomes 21 new faces to the squad this year, 20 freshman and one transfer. Julika Blankenship enters her fifth season at the helm. In her tenure, she has registered a 32-35 record.
