Mercer Set to Host ETSU on Tuesday

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's soccer team continues Southern Conference play as it welcomes ETSU to Betts Stadium on Tuesday for a 12 p.m. kickoff. The match will be streamed on ESPN+.

Series History | Last Meeting
Mercer owns an 8-7-5 all-time record against ETSU. The Bears are looking for their first win over the Bucs since a 3-0 victory in Johnson City, Tenn., on Oct. 27, 2015. Last season, Mercer dropped a hard-fought 2-0 decision to ETSU with Hauk Andrea Fossen and Kieran Richards scoring for the Bucs.

Scouting the Bucs
The Bucs enter Tuesday's match after falling to Furman in double-overtime their SoCon opener, 2-1, on Friday. ETSU is 0-4-1 overall this season and is being outscored by its opposition, 8-2. Five of ETSU's eight goals allowed have come in the second half. Jared Leheta and Josh Hancock have scored for the Bucs this season, while Kieran Richards, Josh Denton, Dominic Foster and Austin Bihlmeyer each recorded an assist. Richards leads ETSU with 10 shots on the year, while he and Hancock have put two shots on target.
Josh Perryman has started four games in goal for ETSU this season, boasting a 1.37 goals against average and a .727 save percentage with 16 saves.
