Mercer Travels to Lexington to Face VMI

The Bears and Keydets will kickoff at 2 p.m.
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's soccer team travels to Lexington, Va., to play VMI in Southern Conference play on Saturday at 2pm.

Mercer is undefeated against VMI with an all-time record of 13-0. The last meeting between the Bears and the Keydets took place in Macon at Betts Stadium on November 2nd, 2019. The Bears won the match 4-1 courtesy of FOUR goals from forward Trevor Martineau.

Scouting the Keydets
VMI is 2-4 this season following a 5-0 away loss to Belmont in their opening conference game. Sophomore midfielder Nathan Lam leads the team in points with six so far this season. Lam's points have come in the form of goals; the midfielder scored two versus Marymount in a 2-1 home victory for the Keydets and added another one against Radford in a 4-1 loss away from home to bring his total to three goals for the season. Junior goalkeeper Broden Schull has featured in all six matches for VMI this season playing a total of 540 minutes. He has made 35 saves this season.
