MACON, Ga. – The Mercer women's lacrosse team will head to Dover, Del for their second conference matchup on Thursday in Alumni Stadium. The game is set for 1 p.m.

SERIES HISTORY
This will be the fifth meeting between the Bears and the Hornets. Mercer is 4-0 on the series against Delaware State. The last meeting was back in 2019 when the Bears won 23-2. Â

ABOUT THE BEARS
Mercer is coming off a loss against No. 1 North Carolina on Saturday. With Hailey Rhatigan's one goal against North Carolina, she now brings her career total to 97. She is three shy of becoming the fifth player in Mercer history to hit the century mark. Goalie Iseabal Cryne had five saves and four groundballs against the Tar Heels. She now leads the team with 11 groundballs on the season. With her five saves, she now has 45 saves this year. Freshman Maddi Koury has been generous at dishing out assists this season. Koury leads the team with nine. Lily Morin is at the top on the Southern Conference and in the top 20 in the nation in free position goals per game. She is averaging 1.17 per game. Sophomores Kayla Soltys and Erin Degnan are each tied for the most draw controls on the team. They each have 14 on the season.

SCOUTING DELAWARE STATE Â
Delaware State is coming off a 2-24 loss against Liberty University on Friday. Emily Campanelli scored the two goals for the Hornets. The goals came at the 12:51 and 9:46 mark in the second half. Rosellla Nardi and Tamrin Swann split the assists on the day. Allie St. Pierre led the Hornets with four groundballs, followed by Chloe Tuck with two and Rosella Nardi with one. Delaware St. caused two turnovers in the game. They came from Tamrin Swann and Starr Williams. Moe Brown and Allie St. Pierre split time in the cage. Brown had seven saves while St. Pierre had four. Pamella Jenkins enters her second year at the helm of the Hornets.

The Bears will head to Kennesaw for an I-75 battle against in-state rivals Kennesaw State on April 6. The game is set for 3 p.m.
