MACON, Ga. – The Mercer women's lacrosse team welcomes the Jacksonville Dolphins for the conclusion of the 2021 regular season on May 1 at 12 p.m.

ABOUT THE BEARS
In the Bears dominant 18-9 win over Kennesaw State, five players scored three or more goals. Lily Morin and Maddi Koury led with four, while Eva Thorn, Hailey Rhatigan, and Shannon Urey scored three. Lyndsey Lewis capped off the Bears scoring with one goal. Ainsley Malamala, Emma Pizzo, and Hailey Rhatigan led with Black and Orange with two caused turnovers. Malamala continues to lead the Bears with 13 on the season. Junior Haley Gerald won six draw controls, leading Mercer in the match. Morin and Rhatigan followed with five. Iseabal Cryne earned her 53rd career start in the cage. She takes over the top spot in the record book for most games started for a goalie. Goalie Kathryn Vanderlinde earned her second win this season. She recorded six saves during her time in the cage.

Jacksonville is coming off a dominant 23-4 win over Kennesaw State on Friday. Molly Brock and Sarah Elms led the Dolphins with five goals. Eight other players scored, four had a multi-goal performance. Three of Brock's and Elm's goals came from the 8-meter line. Lauren Phillips forced two caused turnovers against the Owls. Megan Prescott won seven draw controls, leading Jacksonville. Molly Brock followed with six draws. The Dolphins enter the game with an 8-1 overall record. Their only loss coming from Coastal Carolina in overtime. The Dolphins have two wins coming from Top 25 teams; Florida and Virginia Tech. Mindy McCord enters her 12th season at the helm of Jacksonville.
