SCOUTING THE BEARS
Mercer enters its final non-conference game of the season, and is coming off of a gut-wrenching 1-0 loss to in-state foe, Georgia Southern this past Sunday evening. The difference between the Bears and Eagles was a converted penalty kick for the visitors in the 83rd minute. Jordyn Ebert made five saves over the entire 90 minutes in the tilt versus Georgia Southern. For the season, Ebert has stopped 24 while she's been in net. The leaders of Mercer's attack – Mackenzie Gassie and Lana Whitfield – each have seven points in the six games so far.
SCOUTING THE LADY TIGERS
Jackson State enters the Sunday contest with a 1-6 record and a four-match skid, but will visit North Alabama prior to meeting Mercer. In their last contest, the Lady Tigers fell to Little Rock when the Trojans' Jana Heinen slipped the ball past JSU's keeper, Tionna Taylor in the 23rd minute for the match's decisive goal. Maya-Joy Thompson and Brynn Walker are the top scorers for the Lady Tigers, each having a goal to their name for two points. Â
