Mercer improves to 4-1 on the season

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's tennis team maintained their perfect home record with a pair of wins today. With today's wins, Mercer improves to 4-1 on the season.

Mercer took down ABAC by a score of 6-1 and followed that up with a 7-0 sweep over Emmanuel.

Lucas Wayenburg went 2-0 in #1 singles, earning a 6-4, 4-6, 10-4 win over Tsai of ABAC and a 7-5, 6-7, 10-6 victory over Makhanya of Emmanuel.

David Georgadze went 1-1 on the day, earning his victory over Benoit of Emmanuel by a score of 7-6, 6-2.

Danny Flynn earned two wins in #3 singles for the Bears with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Orgaz of ABAC and a 6-3, 3-6, 6-0 victory over Crespo of Emmanuel.

In #4 singles, Samuel Macleod defeated both Siriwanichkul of ABAC (6-1, 6-0) and Badran of Emmanuel (6-2, 6-2).

Samuel Barrow picked up a pair of wins today. He defeated Kimaszewski of Emmanuel 4-6, 6-4, 10-4 and a win by default over ABAC.

Alexandr Koliev earned a pair of wins by defeating Grosset of ABAC (6-4, 6-3) and win by default over ABAC.

The doubles team of David Georgadze/Lucas Wayenburg, Samuel Barrow/Andrew Branicki, and Danny Flynn/Samuel Macleod all went 2-0 in doubles play.

The Bears will be back in action on Saturday, February 5 at 1 P.M. against Stetson at home.
