Bears Win Six Matches
Macon, Ga.—On a picture perfect Friday at Randy Stephens Tennis Center, the Mercer women's tennis team had a near perfect first round of singles, winning six of eight matches in the Mercer Gridiron Classic.
Of those six winners, three advanced to the semi-final round. Mary Weston Courville, Marina De Diego Quinones, and Kristin Yordanova will all play in semifinals of their respective flights on Saturday.
In doubles play, only the pairing of Camilla Ciaccia and Eden Schlagenhauf won in the first round.
Play at the Randy Stephens Tennis Center 7035 Houston Road at the South Bibb Recreation Center continues through Sunday and play begins at 8:30 each morning. Results and schedule information is available at https://bit.ly/3W4vXZr.
