Gridiron Classic Rolls On
Macon, Ga.--While three Mercer women's tennis players own their single quarterfinal matches in their respective draws at the Mercer Gridiron Classic, the biggest win may have come from one of the doubles teams.
Camilla Ciaccia and Eden Schlagenhauf defeated number one seeded team of Lindsay Tulenko and Ninon Martinache of Georgia Southern 7-5. The Bear pair was unable to carry the momentum into the semifinal losing to Taylor Dean and Ji Lee of Kennesaw State, by the same 7-5 score.
Three Bears, Mary Courville Weston, Marina De Diego Quinones and Kristin Yordanova won their singles quarterfinals, but all lost in the semis.
The Mercer Gridiron Classic concludes on Sunday Oct. 30 at the Randy Stephens Tennis Center located at the South Bibb Recreation Center, 7035 Houston Road in Macon.
