Jonsson Finishes Third at The Advance Golf Partners

Mercer ends fifth as a team in the final round.

PALM CITY, Fla.– Tobias Jonsson, led the Bears placing third overall in The Advance Golf Partners Collegiate finishing 212 (-4).

Jonsson shot an impressive first round 70 (-2) which featured six birdies. In the second round, Jonsson was three under par at the turn which would eventually be his lowest score of the event. Jonsson's third round marked his highest performance of the tournament finishing just +1. At the end of the tournament, Jonsson's ended just four strokes back from the leader. He is currently ranked 37^th in the nation.

Two additional golfers recorded under par rounds in the first round of the outing. Martin Plukka carded a three under par without tallying a single bogey. Jonathan Parker carded a one under. The Bears finished fifth overall on the weekend.

UNCG finished first with a team total of 870 (+6). George Mason's, J.P. Miller placed first with a final of 208 (-8).

Mercer will return to action on February 21^st at the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate hosted by FMU. The golfers will play 36 holes on the 21^st followed by another 18 holes the 22^nd.
