Robert Morris' start too much for Bears
MACON, Ga. - The Mercer men's lacrosse team dropped its home game to Robert Morris on Saturday afternoon, by a 13-11 margin.
Sean Goldsmith led the Bears (2-4) with four goals on eight shots in the setback to the Colonials (1-3). Despite trailing early, Mercer was never more than a few goals down to their opposition.
In the comeback attempt, Mercer rallied with four consecutive goals between the third and fourth quarters from Matthew Winegardner, Parker Junod, Nick Rockefeller and Goldsmith to close the score within two.
In the next game, Mercer will venture to Maryland to face Mount St. Mary's on Thursday.
