Mercer continues competition in Greensboro
GREENSBORO, Ga. – The Mercer men's golf team heads to the final round of the Southern Conference Golf Tournament tied for sixth place with Wofford.Â
After scoring an even par as the team (288) in the first round, Mercer dropped down one spot as they finished the second round +12 (300).
Tobias Jonsson carded a 74 (+2) to lead the Bears after 36 holes and tied for 17th in the leaderboard. Jay Spivey finished even on the afternoon (72) to move tied for 22nd. Jonathan Parker and Martin Plukka shot 77s to move them to T20 and T29, respectively. Ethan Werblo moved down the leaderboard after shooting +10 over par.
ETSU continues with a strong performance as they head into the final round with a 12-stroke lead over UNCG. Â
