ETSU drops Mercer by 6-1 margin

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - Mercer fell to 73rd-ranked ETSU on Saturday by a 6-1 score at the Bristol Racquet Club.

The Bears took the doubles point in dramatic fashion as the No. 3 duo of Danny Flynn and Marceau Foulihoux won in a tiebreak in a do-or-die situation. Samuel Macleod and Andrew Branicki used a 6-3 win at No. 2 to force the winner-take-all for doubles.

ETSU took charge in singles, winning the match after taking all six of the duels.

Mercer will wrap up the regular season when they take on Samford on Friday, April 15. First serves from Birmingham are slated for 2 p.m. ET.
