Florida Gulf Coast Rallies For 3-2 Win
Macon Ga.---The Florida Gulf Coast Eagles scored late in the first half and twice late in the second half for a 3-2 win over the Mercer Bears' men's soccer team.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bears broke on top as Michael Ille converted on a penalty kick after being fouled in the penalty area. He put his shot towar the upper right corner, scoring the first foal of the season against the Eagles, and goalkeeper Wyatt Kistner.
The Bears held that lead until 1:03 left in the half when Javoney Brown headed in a pass from Landon Ameres to tie the game heading into the intermission.
The Bears reclaimed the lead with 10 minutes left to play in the game, when Angel Gonzalez converted a centering feed from Kadeem Agard for his first goal of the season
But the Eagles were undeterred and Aiden Jakoma got the equalizer with 3:53 left and Aedon Kyra punched in the game winner with only 53 seconds left.

- Brant Zulaf got his first start of the season in goal for Mercer and made six saves
- Not only did Brown score a goal, he also drew a red card for two yellow card cautions, and the Eagles had to play the final 18 minutes a man down
- Florida Gulf Coast drew a total of five cautions and Mercer had five cautions in the game
- The Bears continue a seven game homestand against Missouri-Kansas City Friday Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. at Betts Stadium.
