Mercer's Jonsson Sits Third at World Amateurs
Macon, Ga.--Mercer golfer Tobias Jonsson shot a sizzling 8-under par 64 in the third round of the World Amateur Team Championships presented by the International Golf Federation taking place this week in Paris, France. Playing for team Sweden, Jonsson sits tied for third on the leaderboard at 12-under par.Â
He's helped Sweden to the top spot heading into the final round, with a team total 23-under par, one shot ahead of the United States, Italy, and Japan, in a three way tie for second.
Jonsson is a junior on the Mercer Bears' men's golf team. The tournament is taking place at Le Golf National in Paris, the site of the 2018 Ryder Cup.Â
