RECENT ACTION
Mercer earned its second conference win at VMI on Thursday, 69-61, thanks to multiple scoring runs by the Bears. This is only the third time this season the Bears have won back-to-back games and the third away win of the season.
31 points from 18 turnovers by the Keydets proved to be the difference maker as neither team shot too well. Mercer managed to hold VMI's leading scorer, Asher Woods, to only four points. Thursday was the first time this season that Mercer shot below 40% and won.
Kamar Robertson and Jalyn McCreary both finished with 14 points on the night along with 11 points by Shawn Walker Jr. Robertson finished 7-of-8 from the free throw line to help close out the game.
