Bears Travel to Florida to Take on FGCU

MACON, Ga. – The women's tennis team will travel to Fort Myers, Florida to play two matches against FGCU on Friday, February 17 at 10 a.m. and Saturday, February 18 at 9 a.m. The Bears were slated to play Temple in Fort Myers but will now play two matches against FGCU after Temple withdrew.

RECENT ACTION
Mercer was scheduled to play Alabama State on Sunday, February 12, but the match was postponed due to weather. The team's latest action was a doubleheader win against ABAC on Sunday, February 5. The only two losses the team has on the record came from the first two matches of the season against Kennesaw and Florida State.

SCOUTING FGCU
The Eagles are coming off a 4-2 win over FAU on Friday, February 10 and a 4-2 win over South Florida on Sunday, February 12. The team lost to Florida State 6-1 back in January as well as Miami 7-0 in the beginning of February.

Emma Bardet and Ida Ferding have occupied the first doubles slot all season and have gone 3-3 so far. Bardet usually plays at the first singles slot and has gone 2-3 so far this season. Fanny Norin and Isabella Colmenares have also been playing together all season at the third doubles slot and have gone 2-3 so far.
