MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's lacrosse program will play its regular season home opener on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. against the College of Holy Cross at Five Star Stadium.

SERIES HISTORY
Saturday's matchup between the Bears and Holy Cross will be the second meeting in program history. Holy Cross currently leads the series 1-0. The last time these teams met was March 6, 2012, when the Bears fell 6-12 to Holy Cross.
RECENT ACTION
Mercer is under the direction of first-year head coach Ryan Danehy and is 0-2 after two road games. Mercer is coming off a 25-3 loss to North Carolina last week in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Graduate student Ashton Wood went 16-of-27 at the face-off x and added a goal. Parker Junod and Connor Panebianco also added goals for the Bears.
SCOUTING HOLY CROSS
Holy Cross is led by head coach J.L. Reppert, who is entering his third season as head coach for the Crusaders. The Crusaders are currently 0-3 and were picked to finish ninth in the Patriot League. The Crusaders have fallen to Syracuse, Merrimack, and Providence.
The Crusaders are returning 29 players, along with 16 freshmen. The Crusaders welcome back eight of their top-10 point leaders from 2022, including top goal scorer Dean Dinanno and third-leading scorer. Their current top point leader is senior Thomas McIntire who leads the team with 11 goals.
