Bears return home on Wednesday vs. Georgia College at 3 p.m.
FORT MYERS, Fla. –  The Mercer men's tennis program (4-5) played a tight match against FGCU (5-2) on Saturday afternoon, but narrowly fell 4-3.
Mariano Argote/Samuel MacLeod won doubles on court two, but the Eagles won the other two courts to earn the doubles point.
In singles, Marceau Foulihoux earned his second win of the weekend against FGCU with 7-5, 4-6, 1-0 (10-5) victory on court five. Samuel Barrow won in a thrilling 10-point tiebreak that finished 20-18 on court six. Lucas Dini won the first set on court four and claimed the singles point when his opponent retired due to injury in the second set.
UP NEXT: Mercer is back home on Wednesday, February 22 at 3 p.m. against Georgia College.
