Bears Travel to Birmingham for UAB Invitational

MACON, Ga. – The Bears will Travel to Birmingham, Alabama to compete in the UAB Invitational hosted by the University of Alabama Birmingham. The Bears will battle against many great teams and look to compete like they did in the Jacksonville Tournament last weekend.

The Bears will take on the University of Louisiana Monroe at 1 P.M. ET. Four hours later the Bears will battle against UAB at 5 P.M ET. On the second day of the invitational the bears will first play against Jacksonville State at 11 A.M EST, then the Bears will battle Austin Peay at 4 P.M ET.

SATURDAY BEAR NECESSITIES
Date: Saturday, March 31
Time: 1 P.M. & 5 P.M.
Opponents: University of Louisiana Monroe and UAB
Location: Birmingham, Ala.

SUNDAY BEAR NECESSITIES
Date: Saturday, April 1
Time: 11 A.M. & 4 P.M.
Opponents: Jacksonville State University and Austin Peay State University
Location: Birmingham, Ala.

NOTABLES

Mercer had its' first win of the season over Jacksonville State by a score of 5-0.
Mercer swept Jacksonville State both days of the Jacksonville Tournament.
Nicole O'Mara and Kate Hardie are on 5-match win streak after beating UAB last weekend at the March to May event.
Hollis Engel and Jordan Morris would defeat Jacksonville's Hart and Cunningham in a three-set game. The score of the first was 21-13, the score of the second was 19-21 and the score of the final set was 15-12. This was Engel's first collegiate victory.
