MACON, Ga. - Mercer women's lacrosse looks for its second Big South win in as many games when it welcomes High Point to Five Star Stadium Saturday in a rematch of last year's Big South Tournament Championship game.

SERIES HISTORY
Saturday will be the fifth all-time meeting between Mercer and High Point. High Point leads the series 3-1.
LAST TIME OUT
In a complete team win, Mercer limited Gardner-Webb to just seven shots on goal and 13 different players scored for the Bears in a 24-5 win at Gardner-Webb Wednesday afternoon to open Big South play.
Mercer outscored Gardner-Webb 18-2 in the final three quarters. The Bears outshot the Runnin' Bulldogs 43-14 and shots on goal were decisively in Mercer's favor at 39-8.
Mercer was excellent in draw controls with a 23-9 advantage. The Bears also limited their turnovers, recording just nine turnovers for the game, a season low.
Mercer had 13 different goal scorers contribute in the offensive explosion, led by Shannon Urey's five goals to push her season total to a Big South best 36 goals.
Maddi Koury and Chloe Schaeffer each recorded hat tricks for the Bears. The Bears, also saw three different players score their first collegiate goal in Sandy Salit, Sarah Leahy (2 goals), and Kaileigh Wallace (2 goals).
SCOUTING HIGH POINT
High Point enters Saturday's game with a 2-6 record and is coming off a 13-12 double-overtime win against Winthrop. The Panthers were picked to finish second in the Big South in the preseason coaches poll after sharing the regular season title with Mercer last season.
High Point has played three top 25 teams this season in then No. 13 James Madison, No. 19 USC, and No. 3 North Carolina. Like Mercer, the Panthers played Davidson earlier in the season and lost 17-13.
High Point ranks third in the Big South at 9.33 goals per game and rank fifth in the conference in shots on goal per game at 16.89 per game. They are allowing 14.44 goals per game.
The Panthers lead the country with 21.75 ground balls per game and are one of the best teams in the Big South in forcing turnovers as they rank second in the conference with 12.44 caused turnovers per game.
The Bears will look to take control of the game through draw controls, an area in which High Point has struggled this season. The Panthers have just a 35.2 percent draw control percentage which is second worst in the conference, only to Presbyterian. Mercer ranks in the top 20 nationally (19th) in draw control percentage at 57.3 percent.
High Point's leading scorer is attacker Mena Loescher who has 38 points (20G, 18A) on the season. No one else on the team has more than 14 points on the year.
