Bears Ready for Sun Belt Tournament

MACON, Ga. – The Bears earned the No. 7 seed of the Sun Belt tournament. The Mercer Beach Volleyball program will open the Sun Belt Conference tournament on Thursday, April 27 at 1 p.m. EST against the No. 2 seed, College of Charleston.

The last time these two programs dualled was on March 4, 2023, at the UNF Duval Duals. The Cougars would defeat Mercer 5-0 on the afternoon. Mercer however, forced three of Charleston's pairs to a third set. One of the pairs for the Bears would force extra points in their final match of the weekend.
The winner of this dual will move onto the next round to battle against the winner of the No.3 seed Coastal Carolina and No.6 seed Southern Miss dual on Thursday, April 27 at 5:30 p.m. EST.

The Mercer Bears Finished 11-24 on the season.
Nicole O'Mara and Kate Hardie set a new program record with a 13-match consecutive win streak. The streak last 2 weekend events and one weekday event.
At the second Bears Beach Bash, Mercer would go onto beat Eastern Kentucky 3-2. O'Mara and Hardie, Sydney Benson and Jordan Morris, and Kathryn Corbett and Alyssa Scoggins would secure the three wins for the bears.
