Sprinters to compete at USF and distance runners at Flames Invite
MACON, Ga. - The Mercer track and field team is set to compete at two events over the weekend with the sprinters competing at the South Florida Invite at the campus of USF and the distance runners competing at the Flames Invite at Lees University.

Tara Davis was named Southern Conference Track Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office Wednesday, for her record setting performance in the 400M Dash last weekend at the UAB Spring Invite.
At the UAB Spring Invite on April 1, Davis won the 400-meter dash in a personal-best time of 55.08 seconds. The mark posted by the senior from Fayetteville, Georgia, leads the SoCon this season and is the second-best time in the event in program history. Davis' time also ranks 60th on the NCAA Division I East Outdoor Qualifying List this season.
