MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The Mercer men's lacrosse program will travel to Moon Township, Pennsylvania to take Bellarmine University on Tuesday, May 2 at 1 p.m. at Joe Walton Stadium.

Tuesday's matchup between the Bears and Bellarmine will be the thirteenth meeting between these two lacrosse programs. Bellarmine currently lead the series 10-3. The Last Meeting between these two programs was March 29, 2023, when the Bears defeated Bellarmine 15-12 in Louisville, Kentucky

Head coach Ryan Danehy and the bears are coming off a 12-8 win, against Lindenwood last weekend in St. Charles, Missouri on Saturday, April 29. The Bears move to 6-9 on the season and 5-4 in ASUN play.
Mercer had a decisive advantage in faceoffs winning 19 faceoffs to Lindenwood's four. Shots on goal were 20-15 in favor of the Bears. Carl Klepper, Parker Junod, and Matt O'Connor combined to score nine of Mercer's 12 goals with all three recording hat tricks. Junod also added three assists for a six-point afternoon.
SCOUTING BELLARMINE
Bellarmine is led by Andrew Whitley who is entering his fourth season as head coach for Bellarmine. The Knights are currently 10-5 and 5-4 in ASUN conference play. They have had wins over St. Bonaventure, Marist, Canisius College, VMI, Marquette, Lindenwood, Queens, Air Force, Cleveland State and Detroit Mercy.
The Knights return 36 players from the 2022 season, and they welcomed 15 new freshman. The Knights currently leading point score is Junior attackman Kyle Playsted who has 73 points on the year (37 goals, 36 assists). Behind Playsted is Junior attackmen Christian Della Rocco who has 53 points (44 goals, 9 assists) points on the season. The Knights third leading point scorer is senior midfielder Benny O'Rourk who also has 53 points (36 goals, 17 assists).
