Women’s Golf Signs Brooke Frerichs

Frerichs currently resides and plays out of Houston, Texas
Frerichs was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada but currently resides in Houston, Texas with her parents Todd and Sue Frerichs.Â
"We are excited to have Brooke join our golf family this fall," said coach Drinkard. "She is an incredible student-athlete and values the hard work it takes to compete at your best. Brooke is a powerful ball striker and elected to take a gap year to prepare for college with PGA Teaching Professional Alan Hodde. The sky's the limit for Brooke and can't wait to get our fall schedule started at the Purdue Boilermaker Classic."Â
Frerichs competes on the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA), Texas Collegiate Amateur Tour, Texas Junior Tour, and Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT). This last week, she successfully defended her title by winning the LJT Flodder Financial Shootout, which is part of the Texas Golf Association tournament schedule.Â
Frerichs plays out of Royal Oaks Country Club in Houston and trains with teaching professional Alan Hodde of Axis Golf Academy in Cypress, Texas.Â
She has also trained with some of the top junior golf instructors in the country at the Mike Bender Golf Academy in Lake Mary, Florida. While at the Bender Academy in 2022, Frerichs graduated from Lake Mary Prep High School.Â
Frerichs also represents her home country on the course as she was a member of the 2019 Team Alberta championship team.
