Six different Mercer players scored

MACON, Ga. – Six different Mercer players scored and the Bears picked up their third clean sheet in four games this season in a resounding 9-0 win over Alabama Sate at home Sunday morning.

Mercer (2-0-2) scored seven of its nine goals in the second half and held Alabama State (0-3-1) without a shot on goal in the first half. Goals for the Bears were scored by Jada Moorman (2), Lana Whitfield (2), Larkin Thomason (2), Sara Engels (1), Kendall Cook (1), and Jordan Lynn (1).

Mercer outshot Alabama State 30-3, includinig a 22-2 advantage in shots on goal.

Next up for the Bears is a trip to Charleston, South Carolina to play the College of Charleston on Thursday, Aug. 31 at 7 p.m.
