MACON, Ga. - The Mercer women's soccer team plays its third consecutive away game on Thursday night at Gardner-Webb. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.

SERIES HISTORY
This will be the fourth all-time meeting between Mercer and Gardner-Webb. The Bears have not lost to the Runnin' Bulldogs as they own a 2-0-1 record against them. The two teams last met in 2019 in Macon with Mercer winning 2-1 in double overtime.
LAST TIME OUT
In a back-and-forth game, the Mercer women's soccer team earned a 2-2 draw at UNC Asheville last Sunday.
The Bears led twice in the game, but the Bulldogs were able to find a goal to tie the game after each of Mercer's goals.
The opening goal of the game came from Sydney Farr who scored on a beautiful ball from Chandler Lewis-Jenkins off a free kick in the 26th minute. UNC Asheville responded with a goal in the 37th minute.Â
The Bears responded when Chandler Lewis-Jenkins made a run down the left side to the end line and sent a cross that the UNC Asheville goalie mishandled and Jada Moorman was there to shoot the loose ball into the open goal for her fifth goal of the season.
UNC Asheville again found the tying goal in the 60th minute.
Each team had 15 shots with UNC Asheville putting seven on goal to Mercer's five. Lewis-Jenkins had an assist on both of Mercer's goals. Bell made five saves in goal for the Bears.
SCOUTING GARDNER-WEBB
Gardner-Webb enters Thursday's game with a 2-5-1 overall record. The Runnin' Bulldogs are 2-2 at home this season and are coming off a 2-2 draw at SoCon foe Wofford.
Through eight games, Gardner-Webb has scored 11 goals and allowed 24. Their 24 goals allowed are most in the Big South.
They average 3.63 shots on goal per game which is second fewest in the conference. Their leading goal scorer is Megan Gettys who has three goals on the season.
