SERIES HISTORY | LAST MEETING
This will be the 12 matchup between these two program. The series is currently tied at 6-6. The last meeting between these two was on October 19, 2021. The Bears would win the game 1-0 off a goal from midfielder Dylan Gaither in the 53rd minute. Â
LAST TIME OUT
Mercer secured its second victory of the season following a 2-0 win over South Florida on Friday, September 1. Junior midfielder Carlos Santamaria was able to control the ball played from the head Ehi Aimiuwu and would find the back of the net with chip over the oncoming USF goalkeeper. This would give the Bears the lead in the 57th minute. 4 minutes later, Barzee Blama would be brought down in the box, setting up a penalty kick for Mercer. Graduate midfielder Omar Hernandez would step and placed it in the top right corner, bringing the Bears lead to 2-0.
SCOUTING JACKSONVILLE
Last season Jacksonville finished 3-8-4 and went 0-5-3 in ASUN Conference.
Through three game this season, the Dolphins are 0-3 coming off a 0-1 loss against Boston College. The Dolphins opened their season with a 3-1 loss against No. 4 ranked Duke. Jacksonville was selected to finish seventh in eight-team ASUN conference in the preseason.
