Mercer Travels to Bradley for the 14th Annual Danny Dahlquist Memorial Game

PEORIA, Ill. –The Mercer Men's soccer team will travel to play Bradley University on Sunday, September 10 at 7 p.m. ET at Shea Stadium in Peoria, Illinois. This match will honor former Bradley student-athlete Danny Dahlquist and Mercer student-athlete Baba Agbaje. Donations will be accepted throughout the night for the Danny Dahlquist Memorial Fund and the Baba Agbaje For Haiti Legacy Fund.

SERIES HISTORY | LAST MEETING
This will be the third matchup between these two program. Bradley currently lead the series 2-0. The first time these two programs met was in 2009 when Bradley defeated the Bears 3-0. The more recent meeting was in 2014 when the Bears would fall to Bradley 2-1.
LAST TIME OUT
Mercer moves to 3-1-1 on the season, while the University of Wisconsin moves to 3-1-1 on the season. The Bears defense showed out on September 8 against the Badgers, Fullbacks Natnael McDonald and William Pondeca were a vital part to the defense's success Friday night. Along with the fullbacks, center defenders Sekou Agard and Chad Eldridge were consistently winning the ball out of the air. Midfielders Carlos Santamaria, Nick Wanzer, and Omar Hernandez continued to move the ball well in the midfield finding opportunities for forwards Dylan Gaither and Barzee Blama.
SCOUTING BRADLEY
Last season Bradley finished 5-11-3 and went 1-6-1 in the Missouri Valley Conference.
Through four game this season, Bradley is 4-0-1 coming off a 4-0 win against Western Illinois. Bradley is currently unbeaten in all contests this season. The last time Bradley started undefeated was in 2000 when they went 5-0-0 to start the season. Bradley was selected to finish ninth in the Missouri Valley Conferenc.
Head Coach Jim DeRose is looking forward to battling his old assistant coach and Mercer's head coach Brad Ruzzo and his son, Mercer's assistant coach JR DeRose.
