MACON - The Mercer men's soccer team plays their final home game of the regular season on Tuesday, hosting Winthrop at Betts Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

SERIES HISTORY
Saturday's match marks the 10^th meeting between the Bears and Eagles. The two teams last met in Rock Hill, S.C. in 2023, a 4-0 win for Mercer. The Bears lead the all-time series 5-3-1.

LAST TIME OUT
Mercer dropped a 1-0 decision to Wofford at Betts Stadium on Saturday.

The Bears controlled possession throughout much of the first half and threatened to score multiple times, putting up four shots. However, the match went into halftime scoreless.

The Bears continued to apply pressure in the early stages of the second period, earning two corner kicks and a free kick in the first ten minutes of the half. Carlos Santamaria put a shot on target in the 55^th minute, but it was saved by Wofford keeper Leo Ledin.

In the 80^th minute, Wofford was able to break the tie, as Villads Landsperg gave the Terriers the lead with a goal.

The Bears threatened a couple of times in the final ten minutes, including a shot from Tommy Redd that went just wide of the goal, but were unable to net the equalizer. For the match, Mercer held a 9-3 advantage in shots and a 5-2 advantage in shots on goal.

SCOUTING WINTHROP
Winthrop enters Tuesday's match with a 5-9-1 record on the season and sits in third place in the Big South with a 4-2-0 record in conference play. The Eagles last played on Saturday, taking down Radford 3-1.
