Men's Golf Signs Two On National Signing Day

MACON - Head Coach Jason Payne and the Mercer men's golf program announced the signing of two recruits, Teddy Dunn and Phillips Swift, on yesterday's National Signing Day.

Teddy Dunn
Blythewood, S.C. ｜Gray Collegiate Academy
Teddy Dunn makes his way to Macon from Blythewood, S.C and Gray Collegiate Academy. Dunn has cemented himself as one of South Carolina's best high school golfers, enjoying a decorated youth career. Dunn is a four-time All-State selection, maintaining a scoring average of 72.4. Dunn secured a top-three finish at the AJGA Greenwood Championship, clinched a top-five finish at the South Carolina State Junior Championship, guided Gray Collegiate Academy to a top-three team finish in the South Carolina High School State Championships and was ranked as high as third in South Carolina. Dunn has also represented the Palmetto State on multiple occasions, including as a member of the Carolinas vs. Virginia team, South Carolina vs. Georgia matches team, and South Carolina's Watson Cup team.

Phillips Swift
Macon, Ga. ｜Stratford Academy
Phillips Swift will stay in his hometown for his college career, coming to Mercer from Stratford Academy. Over his prep career, Swift has become one of the top players in Georgia and in the entire Southeast. Boasting a low round of 64, Swift has climbed to 11th in the SJGT rankings, thanks in part to top-five finishes at the SJGT Brunswick Junior Classic, SJGT Low Country Junior Classic, and SJGT UGA Invitational. Swift has been a valuable asset to the golf program at Stratford Academy, earning All-Area selections in 2022 and 2024 and finishing as the Area runner-up in 2024. Swift has played a crucial role in helping Stratford Academy win the 2023 Larry Gaither Invitational and 2022 Area championship and finish as Area runners-up in 2023 and 2024.

He has become one of the top players in the state of Georgia with his work ethic and competitiveness. Phillips comes from a wonderful family and has a great support system. We are excited to get him on campus this fall".
