Ahmad Robinson led Mercer with 25 points
MACON, Ga. – Ahmad Robinson scored 25 points to lead all scorers as the Mercer Bears led Chicago State nearly wire-to-wire in a 75-63 win over the Cougars Sunday afternoon from Hawkins Arena.
The Bears were in control of the game most of the way, leading for more than 36 minutes of game action, but Chicago State wouldn't go away as the Bears never led by more than 12 points at any point in the game. Marcus Overstreet had a solid game down low for the Bears. Overstreet scored 10 points on 5-of-6 (83.3%) shooting and pulled down seven rebounds. Freshman Brady Shoulders did a bit of everything for Mercer, scoring seven points to go with three assists, while grabbing a career high 12 rebounds.
