SERIES HISTORY
Sunday's game will be second ever meeting between Mercer and Queens. The two sides played in Macon last season, with the Bears taking an 84-65 win at Hawkins Arena.
LAST TIME OUT
Ahmad Robinson led the way with 25 points to help Mercer pick up a 75-63 win over Chicago State on Sunday at Hawkins Arena. The Bears led for more than 36 minutes of action in the victory. Mercer dominated the paint against the Cougars, holding a 46-26 advantage in points in the paint for the afternoon.
Marcus Overstreet scored 10 points on 5-6 shooting to go along with seven rebounds, while Brady Sholders notched a career-high 12 rebounds for the Bears. The win was the third consecutive for Mercer and moved the Bears to 4-0 at Hawkins Arena this season.
NEED TO KNOW
The Bears have taken care of the basketball during their current three game winning streak, committing less than 10 turnovers in each contest.
SCOUTING QUEENS
Queens enters Wednesday's game with a 6-5 record on the season and, like Mercer, is riding a three-game winning streak. The Royals last played on Saturday at Gardner-Webb, pulling out an 85-83 victory.
Queens is 3-1 at home this season with its lone home loss to Winthrop. Queens ranks in the middle of the pack in the ASUN in scoring offense (75.5 ppg - 6th) and scoring defense (73.5 ppg - 5th).
Queens features a balanced scoring attack with eight players scoring more than five points per game. Leo Colimerio leads the Royals with 10.9 ppg, while Chris Ashby follows close behind at 10.6 ppg. Colimerio, a graduate transfer from Fresno State, was named the ASUN Newcomer of the Week on Monday after a 27-point performance in the win over Gardner-Webb.
