MACON – Mercer men's basketball (13-15, 6-9) will celebrate its four seniors at Saturday's game against UNC Greensboro (20-8, 11-4). This is the final home game of the 2023-24 season. Tipoff is at 4:30 p.m., following the women's game against Wofford. Both games will be streamed on ESPN+.

When the Bears traveled to Greensboro last month, they broke the Spartans' 11-game home win streak in convincing fashion, leading all but 3-1/2 minutes of the game.

Amanze Ngumezi, Robby Carmody, Jalen Cobb, and Jalyn McCreary will be honored prior to their final game in Hawkins Arena.

LAST TIME OUT FOR THE BEARS

Mercer had four players in double digits in an 87-78 win over The Citadel on Wednesday. Junior Alex Holt scored a career-high 23 points, shooting a perfect 11-11 from the field. The team shot 63.2 percent from the field and 50 percent from three for the game.

SCOUTING REPORT

UNCG is currently second in the Southern Conference with an 11-4 league record. Since losing to Mercer on January 27, UNCG also lost to Samford and Chattanooga in back-to-back games. The Spartans won their last three games, including a six-point win over Western Carolina on Wednesday. As in Mercer's Wednesday night contest, four Spartan players scored in double figures against WCU. Mikeal Brown-Jones and Keyshaun Langley dropped 19 points apiece, with Langley going 4-4 from behind the arc. The team shot over 47 percent from both the field and the 3-point line.

LOOKING AHEAD

The Bears will play at Chattanooga on January 28 at 7 p.m.
