
Mercer Leads Early, But Falls To No. 5 Army

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Sophomore Michael Frederick gave the Mercer lacrosse team a 1-0 lead just more than four minutes into the contest, but 5th-ranked Army stormed ahead for good with two goals in the next 90 seconds on the way to a 15-7 victory over the Bears on Saturday at Michie Stadium.
 
Four different players scored goals for the Bears (1-3), including Frederick who nearly matched a career-best four scores. Senior Collin Kelley notched 15 saves between the pipes for MU.
