Beach Volleyball To Host Bears Beach Bash

MACON – Beach Volleyball is back in action this weekend for their first home event of the season, welcoming LaGrange and Carson-Newman to town.

Mercer opens the Bears Beach Bash at 9:00 a.m. Friday against LaGrange, before battling Carson-Newman at 1:00 p.m. Saturday's senior day festivities kick off at 11:00 a.m. against Carson-Newman, before concluding the event against LaGrange at 1:30 p.m.

The senior day recognition ceremony will begin at 1:00 p.m., where Jordan Morris and Alyssa Scoggins will be honored. The two have been a part of the Mercer Beach Volleyball program for three seasons and both have had successes on the sand. This season, Scoggins defeated 16th-ranked Georgia State on court five in a three-set affair, while Morris defeated Eckerd in straight sets from the No. 4 pairing.
