COLUMBIA, S.C. – Junior Ariel Raggs tallied a 12^th-place finish in the 400m Hurdles to highlight action for the Mercer track & field squad on the final day of the South Carolina-hosted Weems Baskin Invitational on Saturday at USC's Sheila and Morris Cregger Track.

The Orange & Black had entries across four different events on Saturday, with senior Ceylani Rembert registering a season-best mark in the 400m Dash and junior Jiya Hastings just missing a personal best time in the 100m Dash to showcase action for the Orange & Black as well. Freshman Melissa Ubani also made her official collegiate debut in the 100m Dash.

The Bears will continue their 2024 campaign next weekend when it splits the squad and heads to meets in different time zones. The distance squad will pack up its show and head to North Carolina for the NC State-hosted Raleigh Relays, while the sprinters, jumpers and hurdlers are off to Birmingham, Ala., for the UAB Spring Invite.
