MACON, Ga. - The Mercer women's lacrosse team will play its first away conference game of the season Saturday, as the Bears visit High Point in High Point, North Carolina. First draw is at noon.

SERIES HISTORY
Saturday will be the seventh all-time meeting between Mercer and High Point. The series is tied 3-3. Mercer has won each of the last three meetings including an 18-7 win in the Big South Tournament semfinals last season.
LAST TIME OUT
The Mercer women's lacrosse team began conference play with a resounding 23-1 win at home over Presbyterian on Wednesday evening from Five Star Stadium.
The Bears took control of the game from the start and allowed just one goal all game; tied for the fewest goals allowed in program history (vs Delaware State in 2017).
Mercer midfielder Kayla Soltys won her 268th career draw control and in doing so, broke the Mercer women's lacrosse all-time draw control record. She also added four goals to go with her eight draw controls in the game.
SCOUTING HIGH POINT
High Point enters Saturdays game with a 4-4 overall record. High Point is coming off a 17-12 loss to Coastal Carolina last weekend.
High Point was picked to finish right behind Mercer, in second place out of nine teams in the preseason Big South poll.
The Panthers average 10.9 goals per game and allow 15.8 goals per game. They average the second fewest turnovers per game at 16.5 per game.
Offensively, High Point is led by the duo of Esprit Cha and Jordan Miles who pace the Panthers with 26 and 25 points respectively. Miles leads high Point with 22 goals and Cha has 20 on the season.
Preseason All-Big South Kay Rosselli is perhaps the Panthers best all-around player. The midfielder is third on the team with 11 goals and tied for the team lead with 25 draw controls.
The expected starter in goal for High Point is redshirt freshman Joy Coffey who owns a 16.67 goals against average and a .385 save percentage.
